I often collaborate with PCPs or OB/GYNs to enhance the quality of your care. Being trained in both psychiatry and medicine, I get to the root of what is going on and treat the whole person. I offer longer appointment times and specialize in figuring out what will work best for you!
At Mind and Body Medicine, I specialize in helping you restore your health and achieve emotional wellness. I am committed to high-quality, evidence-based care that treats the whole person. I will not compromise high-quality care, be told how I much time I can spend with you, and/or let your treatment options be restricted by insurance companies. As an out of network provider, this is my commitment to you.
Insurance companies:
Even though I am out-of-network with all insurances, I provide a receipt called a “superbill.” You can submit this to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement. Acceptable payment methods include HSA/FSA, debit, and credit cards.
We can also use insurance for lab testing and most prescription medication, including menopause hormone therapy.
After the initial intake, we will meet monthly for the first 3-5 months or until you are stable on your treatment plan. After this, we can meet every 3 months for focused medication management visits. If your treatment plan includes psychotherapy, we will meet weekly a specific period, typically 12 weeks.
I see patients in person by appointment only. Most visits are held via telehealth (video) due to the ease and convenience for you!
Appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled up to 48 hours in advance. Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less notice are charged the full appointment fee.

For a mental health crisis:
I practice integrative psychiatry. Integrative psychiatry is an approach between modern western medicine and functional medicine. I consider all aspects that may be affecting your mental health. I look at lab results to decide if any supplements would be beneficial and often weave brief psychotherapy into our visits. You can expect a different experience from traditional therapy or other med management providers.
Integrative psychiatry treatment plans may include medication management, hormone replacement therapy, non-hormone replacement therapy, psychotherapy, supplement recommendations, mind-body practices, and lifestyle optimization.
Yes, I treat most mood disorders and work with many patients who do not have hormone concerns.
